JEREMY EUGENE BARNETT


Jeremy Eugene Barnett, 37, of Evans, WV, passed away May 7, 2017, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, following a sudden illness.

He was born August 20, 1979, in Ripley, WV, the son of Parvin Eugene and Cathy Lynn (Pernell) Barnett of Evans.

Jeremy was a 1997 graduate of Ripley High School, received an Associates Degree from West Virginia State College and then joined the United States Air Force.

He was currently a paramedic supervisor for Jackson County Emergency Medical Services. He began his career by joining the Ripley Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 14, and years later would become Captain.   He served as a firefighter on Pawley's Island and as a CCT Paramedic in Kanawha County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers and motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Khloie Addysen Barnett; brother, Joshua Barnett (Amber); his fiancée, Marsha Neesmith; paternal grandmother, Freda Barnett; maternal grandparents, William and Illegene Young and his nephew Kaesyn Barnett.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Parvin Barnett and his uncle, Michael Barnett.
